Dreams Part II.
Continuing the dreaming theme... Ian writes about a couple of his dreams, and mentions something we talked about in email - the flu dream.
I seem to recall speaking to a couple of people who'd also had a strange, very vivid dream while plagued by flu. Anyway, in my case, I was staying down at a relative's house in Milton Keynes; I forget why. As the afternoon turned into evening, I developed some flu symptoms, and basically fell over very quickly and was rushed off to bed.
I had a terrible dream, where objects, and my limbs were stretched out to vast extremes, so they became infintestimally thin in the middle (think warm blu-tac when you stretch it) and then snapped, or conversely, bloated revoltingly. I can't adequately convey the feelings.
Probably a lot of the issues arose when I woke from this dream, at some point, and felt the need to answer a call of nature. Unfortunately, the room was pitch dark, and, it not being my house, I didn't know where the door was. I don't know how long I spend trying to find my way out, but it felt like a very long time.
The dream occassionally recurs, either when I'm ill, or have had a little more than is wise to drink.
Dreams are funny things, anyway. I seem to recall most dreams from my childhood involved getting a Transformer or something, and then being rather disappointed on wakening to discover it wasn't real - but this is probably music van territory.
